Working...
Now that 1st semester is over, congratulations on making it this far.
As we start the 2nd semester, just a few housekeeping items.
You should always have a unique password for your WCV email account. If someone knows your email (Google Account) password, they will login as you, I guarantee it. That's scary. They can send an email that will look like it came from you. They will copy your work and use it as their own. It's just bad, change your Google Account password.
You also have a MacBook with a number on it, a bag with a number on it, a charger with a number on it. At the end of the year, you will be asked to return these exact same items. If your numbers don't match, think about finding yours so you won't be charged for any missing items.
I have 6 MacBook loaners available for you to use if yours doesn't work. Right now, I don't have any of them on my desk. If you have one, or know where one is, please bring it back to the library.
Here is a good article explaining how someone can take over your Gmail account by sending you a "Confirm account ownership" email. We have restrictions in place to try to guard against these types of attacks for our WCV domain Google accounts, but this is especially dangerous for your personal Google Account. Never click on anything in an email you receive.
I know most of you are taking great care of your MacBooks, and I really appreciate that. We need to keep them working for another year at least, so thanks for helping out with that.
Let's have a great 2nd semester.
