You can now follow WCV Athletics on the Varsity Bound app.
The athletic department is partnering with a new app built by the same Iowa technology group
that built Quik Stats Iowa and Tourney Machine, it’s called Varsity Bound. In the app, you’ll be
able to see schedules scores, rosters, game previews, game recaps and box scores of every
game.
What I like about this app is that it organizes the stuff we all need to know like schedules and
directions. But it also has rosters, team stats and when a coach or we post a score this is the
first place you’ll find it.

● You can download it free on both the Android Market place in September and now on
the Apple App Store.
● The app is also going to give us a way to communicate with you, so please allow for
notifications.
Because the app is being used by our conference and most of the State, the app is like a digital
program. Not only does it have both teams rosters, but it gives a game preview based on all the
stats the teams have entered in.
Finally, the app is a lot like the ESPN or Major League Baseball app. You can follow our High or
other schools in the app and keep a check on how the entire conference is doing. Additionally,
you can see statewide daily scores, conference and district standings, stat leaders, state
tournament brackets all in the app and websites.
What we like about Varsity Bound is that they working to create one place where everyone in
high school sports comes together. And like us, they have in mind—creating the best
experience for high school athletes, and uniting the community around high school athletics.
